Wasp's nest

Wasp's nest

Prepare the yeast mayonnaise with a little warm milk and a little flour and leave it to rise.

Meanwhile, mix the remaining flour with the salt. Beat whole eggs with sugar, add the vanilla sugar sachet, add soft butter, mayonnaise and little by little milk and flour until the whole amount is incorporated. At the end we have a suitable soft dough that is left to rise in a bowl greased with butter, covered with plastic wrap and in a warm place for 40 min / 1 hour.

Now prepare the filling, beat the soft butter with the sugar until it forms like a cream, put cinnamon or whatever essences you choose. Grind the walnuts and keep them in a bowl.

The nicely grown dough is placed on the work table with flour and kneaded lightly. Spread a sheet of 30cm / 50 cm approximately and not be very thick because we will roll it. On the spread sheet we carefully put the butter cream and try to cover the whole sheet with cream, put walnuts on the whole surface and roll carefully. Cut slices of about 1.5 cm -2 cm. Put the slices in a pan greased with butter and lined with flour and leave a little space between them to it has room to grow. It is left to rise a little for about 20/30 minutes. I get about 2 trays.

As we leave the well-arranged slices in the trays to rise, we can start the oven if you don't have it at 180 degrees and we prepare our syrup, in a pot we put water, milk, sugars if you want cinnamon or essences. We put them on medium heat and mix gently until the sugar melts.

Put the tray in the oven for 25/30 minutes or until nicely browned, it depends on the oven.

When they are ready, take the tray out of the oven and put it with a spoonful of the prepared syrup over each slice, put it without fear, the more you put the syrup, it becomes fluffier and can be eaten on the 2nd day without hardening. when they cool, we take them out of the tray and put them on a plate so that they can be devoured by family, friends.

Have a good appetite !!!
