Pea and green onions

RECIPE PREPARATION Peas and green onions:

Put in a saucepan approx. a cup of boiling water. Add the onion and peas and simmer for 10 minutes. After the vegetables are cooked, drain and pass through a stream of cold water then place in a bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and pass until a fine paste is obtained.


New pea salad and pate

There are no new peas, but I used peas from the freezer. 1/2 kg of peas cook for about 40 minutes.

Pate (baby portion). Put in the blender or pass with the vertical blender 2 tablespoons boiled peas, 1 small carrot, sweet and juicy, 1/2 clove garlic, 1/4 teaspoon thyme, salt, 1 teaspoon olive oil, a little liquid (vegetable soup , homemade vegetable milk) enough to make a paste the consistency of a pate. Do not put too much liquid, so that the sauce does not come out, instead of the pate :). I suffered like this for the first time and then, to save the situation, I added more liquid and served it as a cream soup, with wholemeal bread croutons! SALAD (4 adult servings). Mix 500 g of boiled peas (without the 2 tablespoons used in the pate) with 1 teaspoon of inactive yeast flakes, 2 tablespoons hemp seeds, 1 bunch chopped dill, 5 pieces green onion (or white / red & # 8211 1 piece), 2 tomatoes large diced garlic, 2 cloves of crushed garlic or put on a small grater, a little salt once, 1 teaspoon olive oil. The croutons are added right at the end, because otherwise they soften from the moisture and become & # 8220cartos & # 8221 loc instead of croutons. I sometimes like to replace the croutons with whole pasta (but cut the amount of peas in half) for a pasta salad nemaipomenita. Sometimes I replace peas with green lentils, which it boils for about 1 hour, after soaking for at least 12 hours.

Update 2015: According to my current taste and experience with ingredient mixes, this salad is a complex dish. Too tiring for my digestive system. But it is the best expression and proof of contamination with the fear of "hunger" or "deficiency" and the need to make slices of emancipation & # 8220concentrated, satiated.

In time, if you manage to simplify & # 8211 at your own pace & # 8211 menu, I advise you to give up croutons / pasta and yeast flakes and increase the amount of green herbs in the salad. Observe how you feel and act only from the observations of your own experiences. As a simple menu option, I eat new peas mixed only with green aromatic herbs and sweet tomatoes, well cooked.

Preparation of pea cream soup:

Chop the onion and celery into cubes, the potatoes into larger cubes, so that they also participate a little in the hardening.

In the soup pot, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and one of butter, put the onion, celery in turn, then the potatoes until the onion softens and becomes translucent. Sprinkle with salt, which helps to evaporate the water faster, so that hardening becomes easier.

If you don't feel like tempering vegetables or avoiding fats, boil the vegetables directly in cold water. Or in meat / vegetable juice.

If, however, you harden the vegetables, prepare the meat / vegetable soup or water, in the sense that we will add the hot liquid. Do not pour juice or cold water over hardened vegetables.



Ingredients for pea garnish:

- 2 jars with pre-cooked peas
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- a dill tie
- a bunch of green onions
- salt
- pepper

& bull Heat the oil for a few minutes.
& bull Add the green onion, the drained peas from the jar and wash and 50 ml of water
& bull Let it simmer for 10 minutes until the water evaporates.
& bull Be careful not to stick well, but be careful not to crush the peas.
& bull At the end add salt and pepper to taste and freshly chopped dill.

It's good to know that.

. you can also use frozen or fresh peas, you just have to boil it before cooking.
. this is a very low calorie recipe. If you want to pamper yourself, instead of oil, put 3 cubes of butter.
. if you like sweet garnishes you can add a spoonful of sugar at the end.

Pea cream pea | Green pea puree

I love green peas! It is so easy to prepare, especially if you have a steam oven. All you have to do is put it in the oven and in 20 minutes you can enjoy its sweet taste.

This is not the first time I am preparing this pea cream pea, or green pea puree, depends on what you want to call it. It is a recipe that I cook frequently because it won me over from the first tasting!

Pea pate is very easy to make. I strongly recommend using a steam oven or a special sieve to steam on the stove. Steamed peas taste much better than boiled peas, plus they retain most of the nutrients. It is also much softer and retains its beautiful color.

Pea pate it has a slightly sweet taste and goes great with onions on top. I prefer to spread it on toast. there it is here a great serving idea, with boiled egg and mint. Excellent!
