Pork meatballs - Recipes

Even if pork recipes are considered traditionally Romanian, this type of meat is consumed worldwide, including in exotic areas such as Asia or South America. Few people do not enjoy pork dishes, especially because of religion.

38% of total world meat production comes from pork. It is the most consumed type of meat and has a long and rich tradition in all cuisines of the world. In fact, the pig was among the first domesticated animals - thousands of years before our era - because, being an omnivorous animal, it was easy to maintain since then.

Pork is also found in oriental recipes. Asians prefer whole fried pork, but they also have other recipes based on this type of meat, which they consider easy to digest. In addition, the Chinese meat color and fat are considered very appetizing.

On the other hand, there are peoples who, for religious reasons, do not eat pork, Jews and Islam at all. In the case of the former, religion allows only the consumption of kosher meat - ie from ruminants, with split hooves - and the pig does not fall into this category. In Islam, pork is not considered halal, meaning it is not "legal." Among Christians, Seventh-day Adventists are among the few who do not eat pork.

In other countries, where pork is allowed, the variety of recipes that are based on it is very large. It can be found in food recipes either as such or in the form of sausages. Prosciuto, bacon, various types of sausages, lots of salami and other specialties can be prepared from pork.

In Romanian cuisine, pork recipes are traditionally prepared for Christmas, but today we can enjoy them throughout the year, with meat either in its natural state, or minced, smoked or in the form of delicious sausages.
And we have every reason to enjoy pork because it is healthier than we think. We have become accustomed to considering pork recipes as enemies of health due to saturated fats and cholesterol.

But the truth is that if you remove the visible fat, the meat itself is almost as weak as chicken breast. The downside is that the fat gives the pork its delicious taste. If you learn to enjoy fat-free foods and make the effort to get rid of them, it's worth preparing a pork recipe. Meat is rich in protein, minerals and B vitamins.

Healthy pork meatballs

Delicious and healthy because they are made from lean pork.

INGREDIENT:

-500 GR. WEAK PIG MEAT

-2 MEDIUM SIZED CARROTS

-A SODIUM BICARBONATE SPOON

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1. Pork is minced in the robot and then placed in a bowl. Add the finely chopped dill, parsley and onion, crushed garlic. Carrot and zucchini are given through a small grater, squeeze well and add them.

2. The bicarbonate and the salt are dissolved in 50 ml of water, after which, together with the pepper, they are placed over the mixture and mixed well until the composition is homogeneous.

3. From the obtained composition we form the meatballs that we put in a tray lined with baking paper and put them in the oven at maximum heat for about 15 minutes, after which we turn them and leave them for another 15 minutes.

1. In a large bowl, combine minced meat, fresh breadcrumbs (fresh bread passed through the food processor) with parsley, thyme, garlic and then season with salt and pepper.
2. Homogenize the meat mixture, then portion the meatballs and round them between the palms, making them small, about 2 cm in diameter. It can help to keep your palms slightly moist when processing the meat with your hands.

3. After you have formed all the sweet and sour meatballs, place them in a large tray and bake them for 15 minutes at 200 degrees.
4. When the meatballs are well browned, place them on the stove and separately combine the concentrated beef soup, sugar, vinegar, soy sauce and starch in a bowl.
5. Then add the composition obtained over the browned meatballs in the pan, and let the sauce drop for a few minutes, until it thickens a little and glazes the meatballs.

Hi, obviously! But it's a basic recipe that you can adapt as you wish.

Very good looks great.

I also put grated carrots in them. And for many years I no longer fry them in the pan, but in the oven, in the tray that I previously put baking paper in (most of the time I don't even put them in flour, I think they are healthier this way & # 8230 crispy anyway & # 8230 and as the fat comes out of them in the oven, the oil and grease from the pan, etc. do not enter). In addition, there is not so much smell in the house and there is no need to wash a soybean pan at the end (just to gather the baking paper and throw it in the trash!). And many meatballs are made at once! (I get all in 2 oven rounds)

Very good recipe. I got 48 meatballs the size of the ones in the picture. I didn't give them flour, but breadcrumbs.

I am fascinated by the taste of mint, I like mint with the created leaf more. Lately I've been experimenting with all sorts of recipes in which I can add mint. I want to introduce you to my recipe for mint meatballs.

Soak the slice of bread in cold water, drain it, put it in a bowl, add minced meat, pepper, salt to taste, paprika, grated garlic on a small hole grater or crushed with garlic press, finely chopped parsley and mint, egg and flour. Mix all the ingredients well until you obtain a homogeneous composition, from which you form meatballs of the desired size, which you fry in oil on both sides, at the right heat, so that they do not burn. They are very tasty with a refreshing yogurt and mint sauce.
