Bruschetti with tomatoes and basil & # 8211 Simple and delicious, perfect for diets

When I made bruschetta for the first time, I remember perfectly, I created some pizza slices by a cumbersome and not at all tasty method. I fried the slices, put what I put on them, then they were too cold and put them in the microwave.

The bread was softened, the tomatoes were heated, and the cheese was drained through the plate. A disaster, but I continued to make pizza this way, the taste was not bad (?!). In the end, I really wanted to eat bruschetta at home that would have the same taste, if possible, with the ones I ate in Italy. At the first recipe tried, the bruschettas turned out wonderful. All I had to do was read a recipe and not do it on my own, without knowing what to combine and how to combine, and, most importantly, without complicating things. Everything is very simple with bruschettas, in fact.

What I did this time is not exactly like the book because I didn't use large slices of bread, as Jamie says, but the bread was of good quality, the bruschettas turned out quite well. So, if you want them to be good, don't use a regular bagel, but a good peasant bread. The recipe is from Jamie Oliver, to be clear and without surprises.
bruschetta with tomatoes

ingredients

  • Bread slices
  • Mix of tasty tomatoes
  • A few basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • White wine vinegar

Preparation:
Cut the bread in half, then slices about 1 cm thick and fry them on the grill on both sides. When they are ready to brown, rub them with a clove of garlic, on both sides, sprinkle with olive oil and sprinkle a little salt. This was the basic bruschetta. From here, let your imagination run wild and put on any combination you like.
Bruschetta with tomatoes: if you have patience, after washing and cutting those well-cooked, fragrant and fleshy tomatoes, remove the seeds. I didn't take them out, too many, too small, too hungry… Over the tomatoes, break the basil leaves, season with salt and pepper, add olive oil, white wine vinegar and mix. Place this salad over the bruschetta and you're done. That's it!

Cold tomato soup is an easy-to-digest dish, specially designed for hot summer days. In addition to the three ingredients, you also need olive oil, salt, vinegar and chicken soup. Serve this dish with toast or croutons.

Arrabiatta sauce is suitable for those who prefer pasta with tomato sauce and garlic. This sauce is a spicy dish, which uses hot pepper flakes and Italian spices. Serve with a serving of penne.

The slices of bread are fried in the toaster. When they are still hot, grease each slice with a little olive oil. Rub with a clove of garlic each.
Boil the tomatoes in a little salted water until the peel comes off. Finely chop and cook with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add salt and pepper to taste. For the aroma you can put a few basil threads.

Cut the zucchini into 1 cm slices and fry on the grill. The mushrooms are cut into stalks and grilled on the grill with the capsicums. It is consumed as such. They are an excellent appetizer.

Ingredients Bruschetta with tomatoes

200 gr tomatoes (can be cherry)
4 slices of ciabatta
1 large clove of garlic
4 large basil leaves
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
a little sea salt

Preparation Bruschetta with tomatoes

  1. Crush the basil with large salt in a mortar. When they become a paste, add the olive oil and mix well.
  2. Tomatoes are cut into cubes. If you do not use cherry tomatoes, clean the core with seeds.
  3. Pour the basil sauce over the tomatoes and mix gently. If you used cherry tomatoes you will see that most of the seeds fall to the bottom (they practically clean themselves). Let it sit until you take the next steps.
  4. Toast bread, on both sides, on the grill pan.
  5. Cut the garlic clove at one end to expose the core. Rub the slices of bread with that end (as much as you want, after how garlicy you want the bruschettas to be).
  6. Distribute tomatoes on each slice of bread. Tomato juice left on the plate is poured on top (be careful not to drop seeds, if you used cherry).
  7. Decorate with fresh basil leaves.
