The recipe for poppy seed buns is the first one I made with the help of the gift I got for Christmas, a fuchsia KitchenAid that is my new best friend in the kitchen :) I'm usually against using planetary, thermomix, mixers and so on because, especially as regards the doughs of leavened products, I love to feel them and fix them under my hands, but this time I let myself go and I decided to buy a little gem that can give me a little help and speed up my work, even if I made the last part of the dough by hand;) These poppy seed sandwiches have a really special flavor, given by the seeds I put both inside the dough and on the surface and they are excellent both alone and accompanied by cold cuts, I stuffed them with salami and buffalo mozzarella, a real delicacy. How to make poppy seed sandwiches

2 tablespoons of poppy seeds

Place the flours arranged in a fountain and gradually pour the slightly lukewarm water with the yeast inside

Start working the dough and when the flour has absorbed all the water add the salt, sugar, oil and poppy seeds.

Knead the dough until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough that you will leave to rise for 2 hours

Take the dough and form 8 rolls with it that you will place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Brush with a little milk and sprinkle with poppy seeds and leave to rest for another 30 minutes

Preheat the oven to 220 degrees and when hot, bake or poppy seed rolls and bake for 15 minutes

Remove from the oven, let it cool and serve
