Recipe Salty Christmas log of of 06-12-2015 [Updated on 19-04-2017]
The salty Christmas log wants to recall the buche de Noel, obviously in a salty version. It is a clever roll made with sandwich bread, therefore without cooking. In this case, I chose to stuff it with the capricious salad, but you can vary the filling as you prefer, using cold cuts and cheeses, vegetables or even Russian salad, the choice is yours! With a few moves you will make a salty piece of bread that, once brought to the table, will amaze everyone with its beauty, making you look great, or at least in my case, it was so. I leave you to today's recipe and return to my favorite occupations, cuddles and games with Elisa;)
How to make the salty Christmas log
Start by preparing the base for the roll: put the slices together (from the long side) and flatten them with a rolling pin to join them.
Sprinkle the bread with the capricious salad.
Then, gently roll it up tightly.
Cut a slice about 5 cm thick, which will act as a secondary branch.
Cover everything with mayonnaise and place the slice next to the main branch.
Pass the prongs of a fork over the mayonnaise to recall the veins of the bark and let it rest for at least 1 hour in the fridge.
Decorate your savory log as you like then serve.
