The brioche bread tree is an idea seen on the internet to make a leavened cake for Christmas in a simple and spectacular way. The filling used is nutella, but for the more "health conscious" the jam option will be fine;) This year preparing fir-shaped things is giving me a lot of fun, I admit it and everything themed, makes me fall in love at first blow. How to make the brioche tree
Put the flour in a bowl, make a hole in the center and add the chopped yeast. Add a little milk and start kneading from the center.
In another bowl, mix together the eggs, sugar, oil and the remaining milk.
Add the egg mixture to the flour bowl and start kneading.
Then add the salt and the herbs and knead until you get a smooth dough.
Put the brioche dough thus obtained in a bowl and cover with a clean cloth and let it rise for about 2 hours or until doubled.
Take the dough and divide it into 3 equal parts.
Roll out the first piece on a floured pastry board to obtain an oval pastry
Then sprinkle with nutella.
Roll out another piece of dough, always giving an oval shape, then overlap it on the first sheet.
Spread a second layer of Nutella.
Finally close with the third sheet.
With a sharp knife, cut out the 3 layers giving the shape of a Christmas tree (an elongated triangle, with a little trunk at the base).
Make miter cuts on the 2 long sides
Then twist them on themselves to create the branches of the tree.
With a star-shaped cookie cutter, make decorations from the leftover dough.
Then place the stars on the brioche tree created
Let it rise for another 30 minutes, then brush with a little milk, sprinkle with sugar and grains and bake.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 25 minutes (or until golden brown), then remove from the oven.
Decorate with colored smarties that you will adhere to the brioche with a pinch of Nutella.Let it cool and serve.
