THE chocolate tacos they are a simple but delicious idea to serve a decidedly different sweet than usual. Of the original recipe, the typical Mexican tacos, in reality keep only the shape, because in essence they are cocoa dough wafers which, after cooking, can be filled as desired.
I chose the very simple Chantilly cream (whipped cream with a pinch of vanilla), but you can also add some fresh or dried fruit grains, for example, or maybe opt for ice cream, as you prefer!
Many years ago, I also offered you other sweet tacos, filled with whipped cream and fruit, you could do both: P
How to make chocolate tacos
First, separate the yolks and egg whites and whip the first with sugar, vanilla and salt, then add the melted butter and then sifted flour, cocoa and yeast.
Separately, beat the egg whites until stiff.
Then gently incorporate the egg whites, stirring in a bottom-up motion.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then spread the mixture in spoonfuls, creating circles of about 12 cm in diameter well spaced apart.
Then bake in a preheated convection oven at 180 ° C for about 6-8 minutes.
Once taken out of the oven, immediately turn them upside down on a second sheet of parchment paper and gently peel off the old sheet, then fold the discs in half, always using the parchment paper, and let them cool.
In the meantime, whip the cream with the vanilla and, when the discs are completely cold, open them gently and put a teaspoon of Nutella in the center, then decorate with the sprinkles of cream and close in a crescent.
The chocolate tacos are ready, serve them immediately.
