Baked pasta with béchamel is a classic of my mom and I, who am always stealing recipes, made it mine. The convenience of this first course is that it can be prepared in advance and then served once it is baked. Baked pasta with béchamel is an excellent alternative to the classic baked pasta with minced meat and mozzarella, I keep it in the top 10 of my favorite first courses.
How to make Baked pasta with bechamel
Prepare the béchamel.
Sauté the mushrooms in a pan with a clove of garlic, add the parsley, salt and cook for a quarter of an hour.
Cut the ham and scamorza cheese into strips.
Cook the penne in abundant salted water and drain rather al dente as it will have to continue cooking in the oven.
Spread a layer of bechamel in a baking dish. Pour half of the pasta into the pan, spread a layer of béchamel and mix everything.
Add half smoked cheese, mushrooms and cooked ham
Pour a layer of bechamel and sprinkle with grated Parmesan. Mix everything so that the sauce binds well to the pasta. Add another layer of pasta and seasoning
Finally cover the baked pasta with béchamel and plenty of parmesan.
Bake the pasta in the oven with the béchamel at 180 ° C for 30 minutes, setting the oven with grill function for the last few minutes of cooking.
Allow the pasta to cool with the béchamel, cut into slices and serve.
