Swivel Cake Recipe of 09-11-2015 [Updated on 16-11-2015]
The recipe for the Girella cake comes from the facebook group. It's a simple one cocoa donut enriched with a spiral of custard that gives flavor and color to the cake, ideal for breakfast or for an afternoon snack, promoted! Today I start my week in a decidedly different way than usual, I'm in Prague to unplug and to study the local cuisine. I have already fallen in love with a couple of dishes, pork cooked in dark beer with onions and fantastic trdlo, the Bohemian manicotti, bread dough cakes cooked on an iron and then sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon. But now I leave you to the swivel cake and go exploring to find some other nice dish;) a kiss and good week to those who pass by here; *
How to make the swivel cake
Start by preparing the cream: put the egg yolks, sugar and flour in a bowl.
Start mixing, slowly adding the milk and vanilla essence, and stir until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Then transfer to a saucepan, turn on a medium-low heat and cook, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
Now remove from the heat, add the white chocolate and mix to make it melt, then set aside.
Then start preparing the dough for the cake: put the eggs and sugar in a bowl and whisk until they are foamy.
Then add milk, vanilla and oil, always continuing to whisk.
Finally, mix flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl
Add them to the mixture, mixing well.
Pour the mixture thus obtained into a greased and floured mold (or lined with parchment paper).
Then transfer the cream into a pastry syringe (with a large, smooth or star-shaped spout) and create a spiral pattern on the surface of the chocolate mixture.
Bake the swivel cake in a preheated static oven at 180 ° C for about 40 minutes.
Let it cool before serving.
