Baked apples are one of the classic grandma's recipes, often associated with when you are not particularly well and you have to stay light, but which in reality turn out to be of a good that you do not expect. And in fact, although I love apples in all sauces, I began to appreciate cooked apples only a few years ago and, strange to say, after a hospitalization. When I saw these apples arrive I wrinkled my nose a little, but I decided to taste them, it was love at first taste, very simple to make, delicious and also healthy, for me they have become a real comfort food. The other afternoon, I was in a nostalgic mood and I decided to prepare the baked apples, I added a little lemon, brown sugar and cinnamon and I made a lady snack;) What is your relationship with these apples?
How to make baked apples
Wash the apples, cut off the caps and set them aside.
With a levatorolo, a digger or a knife, remove the core.
Place the clean apples in a baking dish.
Sprinkle them with sugar and add cinnamon to taste and lemon juice (if you prefer a fresher taste, add the peel).
Cover the apples with the cups set aside. Bake in a preheated convection oven at 200 ° C and bake for about 40 minutes (but consider that the cooking time can vary according to the size of the apples).
Let it cool for a few minutes, then serve the cooked apples.
