THE peppers stuffed with tuna they are a tasty summer main course that is prepared in a simple and fairly fast way. They can be considered as a complete dish given the presence of bread, tuna, cherry tomatoes, olives and of course peppers. An advantage of the recipe is that you can cook in advance and then reheat the peppers, for a few minutes, in the oven just before bringing them to the table.
Although it is not a very light dish and which alas needs to be cooked in the oven, peppers stuffed with tuna are one of the most popular summer recipes in my house: P

How to make tuna stuffed peppers
Start cutting the cherry tomatoes and olives and chop the basil.
Transfer the ingredients to a bowl together with the chopped bread, the drained tuna and the desalted capers.
Add a pinch of salt and mix the ingredients.
Now wash the peppers, remove the stalk without leaving the hole and cut them in half.
Remove the seeds and oil all the inside of the peppers.
Stuff the peppers with the filling prepared just before and add the breadcrumbs and a drizzle of oil to the surface.
Transfer the peppers to an oiled baking dish and cover with aluminum foil.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for 30 minutes then remove the paper and bake for another 10 minutes.
Your tuna-stuffed peppers are ready to be brought to the table.
