Last weekend I decided to create a recipe for apple and ricotta pie all mine ... so I combined my mom's apple pie recipe and the recipe from ricotta cheese pie and what resulted was one fluffy cake and who equated my mom's apple pie recipe in goodness and this is a very important milestone, my husband and I brushed it off ourselves in 2 days!
I wanted to do this test to have my own recipe, a home tradition, just as it was for my mom and me, tomorrow it would be nice to hear my daughter say "my mom's apple and ricotta pie is the most good of the world ";)
For now I have had the appreciation of my husband who, despite not being a lover of sweets in a particular way, has given me proof that he liked it all right, now I just have to prepare a cake for my mother and see what she thinks: P
How to make Apple and ricotta pie
Procedure for preparing the apple and ricotta cake
Wash and peel the apples, cut them into small pieces and set aside.
Separate the yolks from the whites. In a bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff, separately whip the egg yolks with the sugar.
Add the warmed melted butter Add the milk and ricotta to the mixture and mix gently. Now add the sifted flour and starch together with the yeast and mix until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Now add the apples and mix with a wooden spoon
Finally, add the whipped egg whites to the mixture of the apple and ricotta cake
Grease and flour a 26 cm springform pan (I used my new donut springform tin) and pour the apple and ricotta pie mixture into it.
Place the apple pie in the oven at 160 ° and bake for 40-45 minutes. Leave to cool then turn the cake upside down and sprinkle with icing sugar
