There are 2 types of gorgonzola ... the sweet one which is softer and has a more delicate flavor and the spicy one, with a firmer texture and a stronger flavor. I used sweet gorgonzola for this salty donut, I also changed the doses a bit compared to the original recipe, the result was excellent, a fragrant donut, soft and with a particular taste given by the combination of gorgonzola and walnuts.
How to make the Gorgonzola and walnut donut
In a bowl, mix the yogurt, milk, eggs, salt and pepper.
In a saucepan, melt the butter and, once cooled, add it to the dough.
Mix the yeast with the flour and 3/4 of the parmesan then add it to rain, stirring with a whisk.
Work the mixture until you have a smooth and homogeneous dough.
Now add the coarsely chopped walnuts and the gorgonzola in pieces.
Gently mix the mixture.
Grease and flour a donut mold and pour the dough into it.
Cover with a sprinkling of parmesan cheese. Bake the gorgonzola and walnut donut in a preheated oven at 170 ° C for 40 minutes.
Let the gorgonzola and walnut donut cool, then cut into slices and serve.
