For this weekend I leave you the ice cream cake with pavesini that I improvised the other afternoon, I would say that for having been a dessert made in 20 minutes with what I had at home it's not bad at all, don't you think? I made a two-flavor ice cream cake, one layer with chocolate mousse and black cherries, inspired by the black forest cake, and another with cream enriched with praline almonds. The most "difficult" part of preparing the dessert was keeping all the pavesini straight while I poured the first layer of chocolate mousse, but after that, it's really easy to get a homemade ice cream cake :) Considering that in my area, generally they are sold at 16 € per kilo, I would say that DIY is always the best thing, I anticipate the next experiment will be the one with the pan di stelle since I tasted one recently and I liked it a lot, so I will try to reproduce it and you will soon find the recipe;) I greet you wishing you and I'm going to prepare this week's newsletter, kisses: *
How to make an ice cream cake with Pavesini
Whip the cold cream from the fridge and divide it into 2 equal parts.
In one part add the melted chocolate in a bain-marie and mix until you get a chocolate mousse
In the other part, add the coarsely chopped praline almonds and mix gently
Line a loaf pan with cling film and cover with pavesini on the base and all around
Pour the chocolate mousse on the pavesini, level and cover with the cherries in syrup
Cover with a layer of pavesini
Now pour the cream with praline almonds
Level as much as possible and close with another layer of pavesini
Cover the ice cream cake with plastic wrap and place in the freezer for 2 hours.
take the ice cream cake with the pavesini again, turn it upside down on a plate
Garnish with whipped cream, melted chocolate, black cherries in syrup or almonds
Cut the cake with the pavesini into slices and serve
