When I saw these bread bones on the internet I immediately decided to replicate them and offer them as an accompaniment bread for my Halloween dinner. Fortunately, lately I often freeze the dough for pizza or bread, so it was enough for me to take out the ready-made dough to immediately dedicate myself to the recipe. No doubt about it, the bones are really nice to look at, perfect for Halloween, and the frozen dough has remained as soft and good as it was just made! Next week the recipes will all be dedicated to Halloween, but in the meantime you can start trying these cute sandwiches. Have a good day ;)
How to make bread bones
If you don't have frozen pizza dough, like me, rolled out, first roll out the dough into a sheet of about 30x20 cm. Then cut it into not too thin strips (a couple of fingers each).
Roll each strip on itself to give a tubular shape, then roll the two ends to form 2 snails.
Shape the lateral snails to form the "heads" of the bone.
Finally, make a small cut at both ends to further accentuate the shape.
Let it rise for about 1 hour, then brush with milk, sprinkle with lightly crushed coarse salt, and bake for 15-20 minutes (or until golden brown) in a preheated ventilated oven at 200 ° C.
Let it cool before serving.
And here is the bread bones;)
