The tamagoyaki (literally "cooked egg") is one Japanese omelette, or rather aJapanese omelette. It is prepared in a pan by rolling thin layers of egg on themselves flavored with soy sauce, dashi broth and brown sugar. When I was in Tokyo I found tamagoyaki for breakfast, in the bento box or as an accompaniment to sushi.
Preparing this dish is not complicated at all, you just need to know how to make an omelette and use a bamboo mat to make maki, in no time the recipe will be ready!
How to make Tamagoyaki
Combine the dashi, soy sauce, and brown sugar.
Pour everything into a bowl in which you have opened the eggs.
Then beat the eggs mixing the ingredients.
pour 1/5 of the preparation into a pan with a little hot oil.
When the crepe is cooked, roll it up towards the edge of the pan.
Pour 1/5 of the preparation on the opposite side and roll it out under the first roll.
As soon as this crepe is cooked, roll it around the ready-made one.
Repeat the operation again until you finish the beaten eggs.
Compact everything with a bamboo mat and let it cool.
Then cut into 6 slices.
Your tamagoyaki is ready to be brought to the table.
